13 mm LDPE drip supply pipe (13 mm (about 1/2" nominal))
Where 13 mm (about 1/2" nominal) is used, its real dimensions, and how to connect it.
Used on: the smaller supply pipe in 13 mm / 16 mm irrigation kits, branching off the 16 mm main line.
13 mm LDPE is the thinner supply pipe in the common 13/16 mm garden kit. A 13 mm barb will not grip a 16 mm pipe and a 16 mm barb splits a 13 mm pipe, so the two sizes each need their own fittings even inside one kit.
Quick-connect click fittings from Hozelock, Gardena and Karcher are proprietary and do not interchange. They all sit on top of a standard thread underneath, so the reliable way to move between brands is to adapt at the threaded tap or hose-end fitting, then use each brand's own connector above it.
