Inner diameter4 mm
Outer diameter7 mm
Working pressure0.2 to 1 MPa (about 2 to 10 bar)
Fitting typepush-in barb sized to the 4 mm bore
Used on: European and imported micro-drip kits feeding individual drippers, misters and mini-sprinklers.
4/7 mm is the small European micro tube: 4 mm inside, 7 mm outside. Its barbs are sized to the 4 mm bore and will not hold in 1/4 inch US micro tubing, which has a larger 0.170 inch (about 4.3 mm) bore, so the two kits do not mix without an adapter.
Quick-connect click fittings from Hozelock, Gardena and Karcher are proprietary and do not interchange. They all sit on top of a standard thread underneath, so the reliable way to move between brands is to adapt at the threaded tap or hose-end fitting, then use each brand's own connector above it.
