25 mm pond hosetail (25 mm barb (to 3/4" or 1" BSP))

Used on: the most common pond size, on mid-range pumps and pressurised filters using 25 mm hose.

25 mm (1 inch) is the most common pond hose size. A 25 mm hosetail typically carries a 3/4 or 1 inch BSP thread. To measure the BSP thread, take the outside diameter of the thread in inches and subtract about 1/4 inch, so a 1 1/4 inch measured thread is a 1 inch BSP fitting.

Quick-connect click fittings from Hozelock, Gardena and Karcher are proprietary and do not interchange. They all sit on top of a standard thread underneath, so the reliable way to move between brands is to adapt at the threaded tap or hose-end fitting, then use each brand's own connector above it.
