Japan / Nitto Hi-Cupla air coupler (Nitto / Japan type (Hi-Cupla))
Where Nitto / Japan type (Hi-Cupla) is used, its real dimensions, and how to connect it.
Used on: Japanese air tools and machinery, and anything built to the Nitto Hi-Cupla profile.
The Nitto Japan-type is its own profile and does not interchange with the US Industrial / Milton coupler despite the shared 1/4 inch body. It does interchange with Cejn 314/315 and Rectus 13. Imported Japanese tools usually arrive with a Nitto plug that needs swapping for your shop profile.
Quick-connect click fittings from Hozelock, Gardena and Karcher are proprietary and do not interchange. They all sit on top of a standard thread underneath, so the reliable way to move between brands is to adapt at the threaded tap or hose-end fitting, then use each brand's own connector above it.
