Connect Male aerator thread (M22 x 1 / 15/16"-27) to Garden Hose Thread (GHT / NH)
How to join M22 x 1 male / 15/16-27 and 3/4"-11.5NH, and what stops it leaking.
Not a direct fit. Joining Male aerator thread (M22 x 1 / 15/16"-27) to Garden Hose Thread (GHT / NH) needs a tap-to-hose connector (aerator thread to garden hose).
The adapter to buy
To run a garden hose from a kitchen or bathroom tap, an aerator-thread tap connector clamps or screws onto the spout and presents a hose fitting. Because tap spouts vary, buy a universal kit that covers M22 male and M24 female aerator threads.
The weak point is the seal against the spout, not the thread. A rubber cone or jubilee-style connector holds better on an irregular spout than a rigid screw-on.
