Connect 32 mm pond hosetail to 1-1/4" BSP parallel (G1-1/4 / BSPP)

A 32 mm pond hosetail carrying a G1-1/4 thread screws straight onto a G1-1/4 pond pump or filter port. Tape the thread, push the 32 mm hose onto the barb, and clamp it with a Jubilee clip. No adapter is needed when the hosetail thread already matches the port, which is why pond hosetails are sold barb-size then thread-size: pick the G1-1/4 version for a G1-1/4 port.

Check the port really is G1-1/4 BSP and not the same size in NPT on an imported pump; NPT and BSP are different thread forms and will not seal together. The hose end still relies on the Jubilee clip, so seat it over the barbs, not the plain hose.
