Not a direct fit. Joining 1/2" BSP tapered (R1/2 / BSPT) to Garden Hose Thread (GHT / NH) needs a R1/2 BSP tapered to GHT hose adapter.

The adapter to buy

A garden pump with an R1/2 tapered outlet reaches a hose through an R1/2-to-GHT adapter. Tape the tapered BSP end; the GHT end seals on the coupling washer. Check the pump outlet is R1/2 and not R3/4 before buying.

Do not over-tighten the tapered end trying to stop a weep. A taper seals with a few firm turns; forcing it splits the female casting.
