2-1/2" NPSH straight hose thread (2-1/2-8NPSH)

Used on: 2-1/2 inch US utility, transfer and appliance hose couplings.

2-1/2 inch NPSH is a straight (parallel) hose thread, 8 TPI on a 2.841 inch (72.16 mm) outside diameter. Like all NPSH it seals on a gasket in the coupling, not on the thread, so it needs a matching straight female coupling and will not seal into a tapered NPT pipe port of the same size without an adapter.

Quick-connect click fittings from Hozelock, Gardena and Karcher are proprietary and do not interchange. They all sit on top of a standard thread underneath, so the reliable way to move between brands is to adapt at the threaded tap or hose-end fitting, then use each brand's own connector above it.
