Used on: transfer hoses, pumps, tankers and IBC outlets at 1/2 inch nominal bore.

The 1/2 inch camlock is a lever quick-coupling standardised under A-A-59326 and EN 14420-7. It mates only to its opposite half of the same size: a male adapter (Type A/E/F) to a female coupler (Type B/C/D). Sizes 3/4 inch to 6 inch made to A-A-59326 interchange between brands; below 3/4 inch they may not. It reaches a BSP or NPT pipe through a threaded camlock half of the same nominal size.

Quick-connect click fittings from Hozelock, Gardena and Karcher are proprietary and do not interchange. They all sit on top of a standard thread underneath, so the reliable way to move between brands is to adapt at the threaded tap or hose-end fitting, then use each brand's own connector above it.
